Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
SA 8000:2014
ENACT S.A., operating in the waste management sector, has developed and implemented a Social Responsibility system in accordance with the SA 8000:2014 standard, in order to establish proper, smooth and excellent cooperation with its workforce. The company’s objective is the full implementation of the applicable Greek and European labor legislation, while complying with the obligations arising from international conventions/acts: ISO, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and United Nations Regulations, in line with the SAI standard. Being consistent, the company has obtained all licenses and approvals required by law governing its activities.
The waste management services are provided by experienced and trained employees and specialized scientific personnel, ensuring the safe and professional execution of all assigned tasks. All necessary safety measures and protective equipment are provided to the workforce. ENACT S.A. ensures the continuous training, education and motivation of all its human resources, cultivating a sense of responsibility among its employees towards the company’s operation in accordance with the commitments of this policy. The management, for its part, is committed to implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility system and continuously improving its performance, monitoring
it through objective measurement indicators.
ENACT S.A.’s social responsibility policy focuses on achieving the following:
- Recognition of employees’ right to form and participate in labor unions
- Compliance with laws and sectoral agreements regarding working hours. Overtime work is always an exception and is compensated with additional payment
- No form of forced labor, mental or physical coercion, corporal punishment or abuse is permitted
- Child labor is not supported in any way
- Wages shall be at least the minimum required by national legislation or the service sector
- No discrimination is permitted in hiring, compensation, training, promotion, termination of cooperation or dismissal based on: age, race, color, nationality, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, union membership or political ideology. No form of sexual harassment will be tolerated
- Provision of a safe and healthy working environment to prevent potential injuries and accidents that may arise from or are directly linked to work processes
- Continuous improvement of the company’s performance and social profile regarding the requirements of the SA 8000 standard and its relationship with its employees
To uphold the above commitments and to continuously improve the
performance of the Social Responsibility System, ENACT S.A., guided by a
spirit of genuine and mutual respect, strives to ensure mutually beneficial
cooperation with all relevant social institutions, its customers, suppliers and
partners.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, which aligns all actions of ENACT
S.A. as well as the internal labor regulations, is communicated to all company
personnel and partners.
